A: Our instructional program is grounded in Christian faith, aligned with California academic standards, grounded in Black Studies, and focused on industry.
Q: What is the Pedagogy of Confidence™
A: The Pedagogy of Confidence™ is the fearless expectation and support for all children to achieve at high intellectual levels through 7 High Operational Practices designed to prepare students to self-direct and self-actualize.
Q: What role does the Pedagogy of Confidence™ play at HA?
A: Our instructional program is powered by the Pedagogy of Confidence™, which means that instruction is delivered through the generative and culturally sustaining strategies that support the 7 High Operational Practices of the Pedagogy of Confidence™.
Q: What is the HA Curriculum?
A: We will use Abeka, a faith and standards-based curriculum with a proven track record of excellence in education from a Christian perspective since 1972 as our core curriculum.. Abeka features a traditional approach to teaching and learning, consisting of cross-subject integration, spiral review, and hands-on activities.
The core curriculum (Abeka) will be enriched by our HA Curriculum & Pedagogy Advisory Council (CPAC) and delivered through the strategies, practices, dispositions, and performance assessments associated with the 7 High Operational of the Pedagogy of Confidence™ . The CPAC is comprised of a group of national experts and scholars, specializing in the following areas: 1) Cognitive and neuroscience, 2) Black Studies and identity development, 3) Oracy, literacy and language development, 4) Science-Technology-Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics (STEAM), and 5) Early Learning Environment and Experience. The CPAC will collectively design and develop content to support the specific mission and vision of HOPE ACADEMY. -
Q: What activities and programs will be offered beyond the traditional program?
A: We are excited to offer robust opportunities to extend student thinking and engagement inside and outside of our core curriculum through: Art, Music, Physical Education, Theater & Performing Arts, Competitive Sports (upper grades), and a variety of clubs and affinity groups.

Q: What are the hours for HA BC/AC?
A: Before Care begins at 7:00am and ends at 8:30am; After Care begins at 3:00pm and ends at 6:00pm
Q: What does the HA BC/AC Program consist of?
A: The BC/AC program includes a variety of activities including: Music, Creative, Visual & Performing Arts, Academic Enrichment, free play, prayer, mindfulness, rest, and nutrition.
Q: How much does HA BC/AC Program cost?
A: The cost for HA BC/AC is $300/month.

Q: What is the cost of a HOPE ACADEMY education?
Our tuition is intentionally positioned in the mid-range for private schools in our area, providing families with excellent value and a high-quality education. Tuition includes a world class educational experience, extracurricular activities, and prioritized access (at an additional cost) to our Before and After-school Care Program The financial commitment also includes an annual registration fee and a materials fee.
